What it means
A result can be statistically significant and still tiny in real terms. Common measures include the mean difference, the percentage change and Cohen’s d.
Ask whether the effect is big enough to matter to the person. A change of 1 kg is a very different result from a change of 10 kg.
Also known as
- size of effect
- Cohen’s d
- mean difference
- percentage change
