Industry funding and conflict of interest

Industry funding is money from a company that makes the product being studied. It can shape study design, reporting and results.

Funding is not proof of bias, and many industry-funded trials are sound. Check the declarations of interest, whether the protocol was registered before the study began, and whether all outcomes were reported.
